Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Executive Director
Jennifer Lutsey is the Executive Director of The CORE Academy, where she leads the design and delivery of innovative learning and development strategies that strengthen individuals, elevate teams, and drive meaningful organizational impact.
With more than two decades of experience spanning across program leadership, clinical practice, supervision, and training, Jen is a seasoned professional known for building high-impact development systems and guiding people and organizations through growth and change. Her work focuses on leadership development, workforce engagement, programmatic enhancements, and creating scalable, mission-driven solutions that improve performance and expand capacity.
Jen brings strategic insight and administrative proficiency to every initiative, grounded in a strong foundation of human behavior and evidence-based practice. She has designed and facilitated comprehensive training programs, coached leaders at all levels, and translated complex organizational challenges into actionable, results-driven frameworks.
An engaging and intuitive speaker, Jen is recognized for her ability to connect with people at every level of an organization through her collaborative communication and facilitation style. A decisive leader and creative problem solver, she is committed to helping individuals and organizations build the skills, confidence, and clarity needed to grow with purpose.

Senior Instructor | Lead Training Associate
Andrew Miller is the Lead Training Associate at The CORE Academy, where he oversees the organization’s learning management systems and online training platforms. Additionally, he serves as a senior instructor specializing in crisis intervention, de-escalation strategies, and behavioral management.
With over fifteen years of experience in direct care practice, classroom management, supervision, and facilitation of workshops, Andrew brings a well-rounded and practical perspective to every training environment. His work emphasizes workforce engagement, professional relationship-building, and safety protocols for first responders and professionals managing crisis situations.
Andrew is highly creative and instrumental in developing The CORE Academy’s online content, transforming ideas into engaging, user-friendly learning experiences that enhance participation and drive results. His level of engagement and his pragmatic approach to facilitation offers comfort and ease to any training environment.
Known for his dynamic and approachable style, Andrew consistently captivates audiences through storytelling, real-world insights, and lighthearted humor. His ability to read group dynamics, foster partnership, and lead teams effectively has made him a respected and impactful instructor. Emily Englert is a Training Associate at The CORE Academy, where she is dedicated to supporting professional growth and delivering high-quality educational experiences to individuals, teams, and entire organizations.
With over seven years of experience in client support services, behavioral health settings, and training facilitation, Emily brings a strong blend of organizational knowledge and practical skill to her role as an instructor. Â Her work focuses on streamlining operations, strengthening service delivery, and helping individuals and teams build the skills needed for long-term success.
Emily’s academic background and deep understanding of psychology have shaped a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to learning and development.  She is very much research-oriented and values using proven strategies and current data to guide training and support outcomes.  Her passion for serving underserved populations reflects a strong commitment to access and meaningful impact.
Carrying competence and insight, Emily is recognized for her attention to detail and collaborative approach. Â She excels at balancing strategic planning with compassionate service, helping teams stay organized, effective, and mission focused. Â

Jocelyn Hafer is a Training Associate at The CORE Academy, where she is committed to advancing professional development and expanding educational opportunities across a variety of disciplines and settings.
With more than five years of experience in crisis response, case management, de-escalation intervention, and teaching, Jocelyn brings both academic knowledge and hands-on field experience to her role as a facilitator. Her work focuses on building strong foundations, strengthening intervention skills, and enhancing support services for individuals and organizations alike.
Jocelyn’s professional background has shaped a deep understanding of person-centered care, emphasizing empathy, dignity, and individualized support in every interaction. Her ability to connect with varied audiences translates seamlessly to the classroom, where she fosters engagement, teamwork, and growth.
